The Gingerbread Man - A Template or Shapebook

The Gingerbread Man is up and running (hopefully as fast as he can!) on our brand new TPT site!  **IT'S FREE!**

We've tweaked our old Gingerbread Man Shapebook to add a little bit of finesse to the poor little guy, as well as a primary line page, and a blank page.

What could be better? We've also added a whole list of activities - all worth the time - and all creative - from math, to reading and writing, to art. Check it out.

(Did we mention it's absolutely free??)

The annual pumpkin harvest that we love to celebrate is just around the corner! Get kids started with these printable pumpkin shapebooks. One page is for the cover (decorate any way you wish, but a little bit of orange glitter on the edges can go a long way toward glam!), and the last link below is for the lined pages. Use them for spelling (harvest vocabulary: pumpkin, October, fall, autumn, orange, pie, Halloween etc.), or a little poem about pumpkins, recording pumpkin math stats and estimates (measure height and diameter, estimate seeds, weight etc.), or a fall observation journal etc.

NOTE: Our Pumpkin Shape Books are now included in the Fall-Themed Shape Books Package (where you'll also find a FREE downloadable turkey template,
under "Preview!")

Letter to Teacher

Give students plenty of time to plan their letters to you, and allow them to take them home and return them in a sealed envelope so that they can speak freely, bringing them back to school by the last day of classes. In this manner, you should receive some valuable feedback on what students liked best, and least.

NOTE: Please click on LINK to download full printable page.

It's been a little while - since Valentine's Day, in fact - since I've posted anything on our blog; it's just been soooo busy! As standardized tests loom straight ahead, however, I thought you might find some of our sponge activities useful in your classroom right now, both to challenge your students' brains and get them thinking, and to fill in those extra spare minutes or blocks of time. Enjoy!
